Steve Morell, DJ, musician and founder of label Pale Music just released Lady Pheres, the second single of his album "The Life And Death Of Jimmy Pheres And His Rise From The Undeworld". For the occasion, Monica Pokorna joins the artist for what is probably the most beautiful melody of 2012. Steve Morell has the voice of those who lived too much and too fast contrasting with Monica Pokorna's naive but brave tone. We love the romantism and the simplicity of the melody, the dialogue between both artists and the invitation to dream and love. There is a bit of In The Death Car in Lady Pheres, the song Goran Bregovic composed for Iggy Pop for the soundtrack of Arizona Dream (or American Dreamers depending on where you live). Lady Pheres should soon become an icon of the independent scene (whatever it means) so don't wait to become one of the first to discover it.
For the occasion, Steve Morell and Monica Pokorna worked with close friends such as the wonderful Valerie Renay from Noblesse Oblige as well as EF Kriete (Goldfish), Andrew Unruh (Einsturzende Neubauten) or Kevin Mooney (Adam & The Ants). The release also includes other songs of the artists, It's Been So Long, Confusion and Holding On (on vynil only). Remixes of Lady Pheres (included in the download) are available by Berlin scene artists such as Electrosexual, DJ Vela and The Handclap Situation). A must-have for the Berlin-scene followers !
The single is available in vinyl and download.
